Anyone else’s kids better dressed than they are? I know mine are. While my littles are strutting the freshest looks, I like I just came from a hamper in 2011.
I will admit when it comes to shopping for new clothes the kids usually get top billing. But if you are like me and Uncle Sam was good to you this year, here are few must-have pieces to splurge on.
I have always been a little jelly of those stylish Mom’s rocking their Hunter rain boots. Now, thanks to Target I don’t have to be! They are the perfect pairing for your fave yoga pants or skinny jeans. Not to mention they keep your feet dry during rainy pickup or drop off. You may even find yourself jumping in some muddy puddles.
A Fly Military or Utility Jacket
Spring will still surprise you with some cool days and nights, but you’ll be prepared in one of this seasons must have. You’ll be stylish at soccer, and with plenty of pockets, you won’t have to worry about losing your phone, keys or snacks.
Kimono Sleeve Tunic
These functional pieces are soft, comfy and affordable. They can be dressed up with a funky pendant necklace and some faux leather legging or throw it over some yoga pants with some cute tennie‘s, and you are ready for a fun afternoon at the park. Blush and lavender colors are the hits this year, be sure to scoop up a couple of tunics in these pretty colors.
Okay, when is a white tee shirt not an essential wardrobe piece? Spending some moola on a few quality t-shirts that you can wear alone with a great accessory or layer under your jackets and cardigans is crucial. Be sure to choose a neckline and a fit that is flattering on you. If your favorite tee looks a bit worn, it may be time to invest in a new one.
I will say that I love my Adidas Superstars. They are perfect with leggings or jeans. I also like that they super comfortable when I spend a lot of time on my feet. However, there all kinds of cute slip-ons right now, look for a lighter color such as tan, grey, white, taupe, or blush for spring.
One of my favorite things about this time of year is white jeans, while mine never lasts one season to the next, right now is the perfect time to grab a new pair. Skinnies with a cropped ankle paired with a navy polka dot shirt and super cute wedge or a neutral tank top with a denim jacket and slip on tennis shoes will have you looking pretty for any backyard celebration.
There you have it some Spring must-haves that will have you going from hamper honey to a stylish sweetie in no time. If you aren’t sure you are ready to shell out the dough on a new wardrobe or still searching for a style you like, try a wardrobe rental service. I have been trying Le Tote, and I love it! I get to try out different looks without the commitment and not to mention it cuts down on laundry time since I just return them when I am done.
