During the week, I always have my laptop on me so I can’t carry too much stuff in my bag, especially when I am traveling around the city on a subway. If I am going to the gym and I have to bring my gym clothes and sneakers, it might get even worse. That means I have to be careful with what I bring or put into my bag. Therefore, I need an effective, lightweight setting spray to make sure my makeup stays on through meetings and interviews throughout the day. So, MAKEUP FOR EVER Mist and Setting Spry is an absolute must to include.
MAKE UP FOR EVER Mist and Fix Setting Spray
I have tried a few of the setting sprays like the NYX and Elf setting sprays. Through all my testing, I found that the MAKE UP FOR EVER Mist and Fix Setting Spray is the best one for me. I can spray it on in the morning and forget about it. As I go about my day, my makeup stays on and I don’t need to do any touch-ups.
According to MAKE UP FOR EVER, they claim that this setting spray can last up to 12 hours and creates a ‘sweat-proof, rub-resistant barrier for fresh-looking makeup.’ As it contains a formula called O2 skin complex, it delivers a healthy-looking, radiant glow. I like this aspect a lot because it minimizes any “powdery” look on my face.
Also, because the bigger bottle (4.22 oz/125 ml) is a screw top I can transfer some of it into the smaller bottle (1.01oz/30 ml) for easy travel across the city (and because it’s under the 100ml restriction for air travel, around the world!)
Why I like it:
The spray mechanism in the bottle is a good one. Unlike some of the other setting sprays, this one gives off a light mist and sprays evenly around the face. It also does not have any scent and I prefer that. It is dermatologist tested and it’s alcohol-free.
How I use it:
Wait for a bit before you spray it because if your mascara is still wet, the spray might make you panda-eyed. Once you think your makeup is all set and dry, you can spray the setting spray around your face. Depending on your skin type and if you are using a glowy foundation, you might want to touch up with a face powder so that certain parts of your face are not too shiny.
Will I recommend it?:
I totally recommend this setting spray because it makes my makeup last the longest in comparison with other setting sprays in the market.
Score: 5 out of 5
I am sticking with this setting spray for sure because I know it works really well.
