I didn’t learn this from watching mine or friends moms, rather I learned this about myself as I have grown older and experienced life. I would consider myself practical, cost-conscious, and even a little reserved when it comes to treating myself. Doing something for yourself is healthy. You don’t have to be immersed in guilt if you purchase a new shirt of a pair of pants. Yes, it can be rewarding to buy something for your children. You want the best for them. However, the best mom you can give your child is one that takes care of herself and treats herself with kindness. Be kind to yourself and splurge a little. Your children have dressers full of clothes and the floor is filled with toys that keep falling out of the overstuffed toybox.
